Rossi's win, Marquez Fell in a dramatic Australian GP
ROSSI'S WIN, MARQUEZ FELL IN A DRAMATIC AUSTRALIAN GP. Speedway rider Valentino Rossi Yamaha, Movistar, recorded the second victory this season after a first-place finish in the GP Australia which takes place at the Phillip Island Circuit on Sunday (19/10/2014). His first victory was gained at the San Marino Grand Prix.
Jorge Lorenzo did start with a brilliant third place and was leading the race. However, before the first round ended, Marc Marquez managed to take over the leadership of the race. Rossi's win, Marquez Fell in a dramatic Australia GP
The first round ended, Marquez followed leads Lorenzo, Bradley Smith, Pol Espargaro, and Rossi. On the second lap, Rossi managed to rise to third place.
The incident occurred in the sixth round when Andrea Iannone has been dropped after he crashed into the back of the motor of Dani Pedrosa. Iannone race stopped, but she suffered no injury.
The motor is no longer perfect, Pedrosa tried to survive. However, he had to give up at the end of the eighth round. Pedrosa goes into the pit and ended the race without getting extra points.
While in the future, tough competition going on between the two racers Movistar Yamaha, Rossi and Lorenzo, who is competing for second place. Behind them, Cal Crutchlow raced alone with original GP14 while teammate, Andrea Dovizioso, went down with the GP 14.2.
Rossi managed to get second place for the first time after passing Lorenzo on the 10th lap. On the next lap, Lorenzo had regained second place, but only for a while. Rossi's win, Marquez Fell in a dramatic Australia GP
Lorenzo returned to gain second place on lap 14. Furthermore, these two racers continued to compete. Rossi is back up to second place on lap 17.
In front of both of these racers, Marquez is getting away with the lead, four seconds. However, when the remaining 10 races round, Marquez was knocked down and unable to continue the race. Marquez suffered no injuries.
Rossi took the lead, followed by Lorenzo in second place. Crutchlow raced alone at third position.
The incident occurred while the remaining eight laps of the race. Stefan Bradl crash hard enough after motornya-to-shoulder with Aleix Espargaró. Both racers were unable to continue the race.
Crutchlow raced faster and closer to Lorenzo who got in trouble by doing laps two seconds slower than Rossi. On the 23rd lap, Crutchlow has finally passed through Lorenzo and get second place. Rossi's win, Marquez Fell in a dramatic Australian GP
The remaining three rounds of races when Pol Espargaro also fell. Whereas, the Tech3 Yamaha racers getting close to Lorenzo continues to slow down.
Crutchlow so victim Phillip Island next. Go through the final round, was knocked down when the United Kingdom racers raced alone in second place. Gone was the chance to get his first podium finish.
Rossi eventually closed the race with first place finish, followed by Lorenzo in second place, and Bradley Smith third.
